Swedish film expert Hallenstvedt praises Fajr Int’l Filmfest

Swedish film expert Astrid Hallenstvedt has praised the organization of the 35th Fajr International Film Festival.

“It’s so well-organized,” Hallenstvedt said as it was her first visit to the festival.

Comparing the festival with other international events, she added, “Fajr festival is more systematic; the public screening, the market and other sideline programs are well planned”.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The awards ceremony for this year’s run was held on Thursday, April 27, at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.
